Tegallalang blew my mind
The rice terraces at Tegallalang are something else. Photos don't do it justice at all. The whole area is so green and peaceful, and the local food around there is cheap and tasty. Really glad I made the trip.
Best yoga retreat I've ever done
Came here specifically for yoga and it delivered big time. There are studios everywhere and the teachers actually know what they're doing. Monkey Forest Road is super easy to walk and has plenty of cafes to relax in after class. Felt genuinely refreshed by the end of the trip.
Great place to slow down and eat well
The food scene here is seriously good. Had the best nasi goreng of my life at a tiny warung near the market. Everything is fresh, flavourful and ridiculously affordable. Perfect spot if you want to take a proper break from city life without getting bored.
Culture overload in the best way possible
Saw traditional Kecak dance at Pura Uluwatu and it was absolutely stunning. The whole area has temples, art galleries and craft markets that keep you busy for days. People are warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the more culturally rich places I've been to.
Loved every second of it
Wasn't expecting to like it this much but wow. The walks through the rice paddies around Campuhan Ridge are free and absolutely beautiful. Mornings here are cool and calm, evenings are lively with good music and food. Exactly what I needed.
Perfect mix of nature and wellness
Spent time doing spa treatments and it was some of the best value I've ever found. Traditional Balinese massage for next to nothing compared to back home. The whole place feels calm and unhurried. Jalan Bisma has some great guesthouses with jungle views too.
